What do I receive?

When can I consign?

Anytime we’re open!

Clients are welcome to consign clothing & accessories every day we are open. Please plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to closing so we can review your consignment with you and check your account. Visit our store hours here.

Do you have items in your wardrobe you no longer wear? Consign with us! Consigning is simple, and easy and is a great way to make some money!

At Sola Lucy we look for seasonal, fashion-forward, new and gently-used clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. We enjoy receiving boutique brands, designer labels and fine jewelry as these are items that generally do well on consignment. We only accept items that we feel will sell in our stores as we want them to sell for you! There is no need to make an appointment, or limitations to the amount of items you bring in.

We pay you 40% of the selling price after your items sell. Our consignment period is 2 months. All items are subject to a standard 30% price reduction after four weeks, of which you will always receive 40% of the selling price.

As your items sell, money will accrue on your account which you may collect at any time or spend as store credit at your leisure. Your account will never expire.

After your 2-month consign period, consignors will have 1-week to pick up their unsold merchandise. At this time you may also consider asking Sola Lucy to donate your items to charity. We support a variety of charities including the Emeryville Community Action Program.

Sola Lucy is committed to offering all of our clients excellent value and service. We strive to present and market your quality, name-brand clothing and accessories to achieve the maximum return possible for you.

Please follow these simple consignment guidelines to help you decide which items to bring in for consideration:

All consignment will be contracted for 2 months at a time, at which you will receive 40% of the selling price.

There are no maximum item limits to the amount of merchandise you would like us to review for consignment. However, if you have large drop-offs, it is best to call ahead so that we can accommodate you or make a special appointment for you. In some special circumstances we offer local house calls.

As a rule of thumb, most consignment is generally priced at 1/3 below the original retail cost. If you still have new tags attached to garments, it is to your benefit to leave them in tact.

At this time we only accept women’s apparel and accessories, and we generally accept garment sizes 2 -16.

Upon arrival you will be asked to sign in and provide your personal contact information so that we may start a consignment account for you.

We look for current & contemporary fashion styles that are in good condition, free of stains, holes, and peculiar odors. We do not accept items that are in need of repair, out dated, too worn, or not of very good quality.

We take items which are in season, so please make sure to bring garments which are appropriate for the Current Season. For instance, we will not accept summer dresses in winter. If you’re in doubt, feel free to just give us a call!

Clean, well-pressed, and fragrance free items sell the best. You do not need to present garments on hangers to be considered for consignment. Neatly folded items in bags are just fine.

Once you begin a consignment account with us, you may check the status of your consignment any time, any day that we are open by contacting us via phone, or stopping by our locations in person. Please make sure to visit the appropriate store where your items are being consigned.
